“A Call to the Government of Canada”
Thousands of the new immigrants to Canada of Yemen origin are facing difficulties in having their cases settled by the Canadian immigration system. Hundreds of permanent residents have been waiting for their citizenship for well beyond the normal processing times. Many refugees are facing extended waiting time for their permanent residency. There seems to be a specific problem that prevents these new immigrants from having their cases resolved. We call upon the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada to investigate this issue. We believe that new immigrants of Yemen origin deserve an opportunity to settle normally in their new home like all other new immigrants. A letter was sent to the Minister to that extent.
